DeiseDollsDay Event

So a few weeks ago I decided to attend the Deise Dolls Day event which is an event that was put together by the bloggers of Waterford for Pieta House which is a charitable society. I found it a great chance both to support charity and to have a day filled will all things beauty.

For the first hour of the event we were treated to a step by step tutorial by Irish Makeup Artist Sammy Stacey. She did a nice smoky bronze eye look using products from Inglot, Makeup Gallery, The Balm & So Sue Me to name a few.

For the second hour we were introduced to the amazing extension hair pieces by Easilocks. The demonstrator showed us how easy it is to simply lift up your own hair and clip in the extension piece for a dramatic difference.

Last hour was very much dedicated to a bit of food and browzing of the pharmacy, Waterford Health Park Pharmacy, were the event was taking place on the day. We were very lucky enough to get gifted a bunch of goodies in a goodie bag on the way out but I think I shall safe that for another post.

UDXBasquiat Makeup Look

Yesterday I did a blog post all about my night at the revealing of the Urban Decay Basquiat Collection in Debenhams here in Ireland so if you haven’t read that then it’s just the post before this one. On the night the makeup artist Lisa did a makeup look and for this blog post I’m just going to go through it and steps she took to achieve the finished look.

To begin all of the models makeup was removed with the Urban Decay Prep and Prime Meltdown makeup remover. You simply spray this onto a cotton pad and wipe all over the skin to break down any makeup.

Beginning with the eyes:

  • Eyelids are primed with the Urban Decay Primer Potion in the shade Eden
  • The primer is then set with a thin layer of Urban Decay Pressed Powder
  • Using the shade Enigma from the UDXBasquiat Palette, place all over the eyelid over the primer.
  • The shape of the eyes is then outlined and defined using the second shade from the palette Levitation.
  • The shade 1960 from the Tenant UDXBasquiat Palette is used on the outer corner and blended slightly inwards.
  • Use the shade Neo in the crease area and make sure to blend very well
  • Urban Decay Naked Concealer in the shade Fair Neutral is used to cut the crease by placing it all over the eyelid area only.
  • Over the concealer, the shade Boom was then added.
  • Any harsh lines were then blended out with the shade Neo.
  • The crease area was also defined further with the shade Neo on an angled liner brush.
  • Perversion Urban Decay 24/7 hr eyeliner is used to line the waterline and tightline.
  • Finish off the eyes with Perversion Liquid liner to create a cat flick and Perversion mascara on the lashes.
  • Eyelashes are optional

Any fallout under the eyes can be removed with a wet wipe. She then used the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation for the base. The under eyes, forehead, nose, cupid’s bow and chin area are all highlighted with the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in the shade Fair Neutral. The skin is then set with the Urban Decay pressed powder in the shade Translucent.

The complexion was bronzed up, highlighted and blushed using the new UDXBasquiat Blush/Hightlight/Contour palette. The entire look was finished off by lining the lips with Urban Decay 24hr glide on eye pencil in the shade Psychadelic Sister and the lipstick in the shade Jawbreaker. Top the lips with the lip topper in the shade Monarchy and that’s the finished look.

If you guys have any questions about any of the products she used or the steps that were done please leave them below in the comments and I will try my best to answer them.

Flormar Event Dublin! #FabulousFlormar

I don’t even know how to start this post because I’m so excited about everything that I am about to write. Yesterday (Sunday the 18th of September) I attended the long awaited Flormar beauty roadshow. I booked tickets for this event back in August and have been excited to attend it ever since. I have to say it’s everything I hoped it would and better. There was an incredible makeup tutorial by the beautiful Michelle Regazzoli of MRSMAkeup who is a very famous Irish Makeup Artist. There was a talk all about Flormar from the CEO of the company Paul Mooney and of course there were a ton of giveaways and I actual won one!! I know shock horror I never win anything haha.

The event was taking place at the beautiful Castleknock Hotel and Country Club and began at 3pm. The venue was designed so beautifully with round tables all covered in white cloths and gold ribbons. They accented the tables with Orchids as centre pieces and their was even an Instagram Frame on each table to take selfies with.

Each seat had a welcome present of a candle from the brand Bakery Fresh. I received mine in the scent Lime and Cilantro which is green in the jar. I really like the scent of this, it’s strong and intense but the lime in it softness it as well so it’s not overpowering.

Throughout the event a makeup lesson was preformed by the Makeup Artist Michelle Regazzoli and I will have a step by step tutorial including all the products she used coming up on the blog soon. The CEO of the company, Paul Mooney also gave a talk about how he started out in cosmetics and established Flormar in Ireland and also created his own line called FLAWLESS.

In between the makeup lessons Paul opened the floor to Q&A with the best question receiving hampers as prizes. It really motivated the crowd and I ended up winning a SoSueMe hamper for my question which I was really delighted about.

Once the event was over they gave everyone who came a goodie bag with some Flormar and Flawless cosmetics in it. Plus the goodie bag is gorgeous popping pink colour that would make a great beach bag for the summer months.

I will of course being doing another post where I go through the goodie bag and show you what I got in it. The same applies for the SoSueMe hamper and with that I will also do a review of the Contouring palette in hamper once I try it out enough. A tutorial post will also be coming your way of the look that Michelle did on the model on the day.
