L.O.V. FatalMuse Liquid Matte Lipstick

It’s no secret on this blog that I am a huge fan of L.O.V. Cosmetics seeing as last month I did an entire three part series simply reviewing their products. I shall link those posts below in the case any of you didn’t catch them or are new to my blog. For today’s post I’m focusing on a newer release of theirs and that’s their FatalMuse Liquid Matte Lipsticks.

Whenever I hear the word Matte in liquid lipsticks I’m automatically turned off because I have this instinctive fear that it’s going to be super drying on the lips and I tend to prefer my lips to be hydrated (with the exception of when I want to wear my M.A.C Russian Red Lipstick). These are not drying whatsoever, they are actually really smooth on the lips and set almost with a velvet finish. Pigmentation of them is intense with a high colour payoff.

The applicator is nice and thin making it possible for you to initially go around your lips with it to outline them before filling them in completely with the flattened side of it. I have two shades out of the ten available and both of them I love completely because they’re nice vampy shades that are perfect for the coming fall months.

The first of the two shades that I have is No. 770 Extrovert which is a nice berry shade with a slight red undertone to it. I found these to last roughly 8 hours on my lips without touch ups and through non-greasy food. With gresy food however they do tend to break down slightly because of the oil.

The second shade that I have is No. 780 Bold Attitude which is a nice cranberry shade and out of the two I definitely gravitate towards this one more. Layering wise these don’t cake especially if you stick to nice thin coats when applying it. That said because these are so opaque you really shouldn’t need more than one swipe.

Flormar Goodie Bag

So I’ve shown you guys what I got up to during the Flormar Event Dublin! #FabulousFlormar and I’ve gone through the amazing look that Michelle Regazzoli did on the her model, Lauren (who is also going to be the new face of Flormar Cosmetics) in the Flormar Event Tutorial post that I did. As part of the event, everyone who attended got given an amazing goodie bag which you would have seen in my first post about the event.

Inside the goodie bag we got a total of 6 items and one of the items I was so delighted that I got because I was sooo hungry after the event was finished. I literally devoured this packet of Proper Corn Popcorn in the flavour Lightly Sea Salted. This popcorn is from the brand DoneProperly and it is available at primark/pennys if you want to pick up a packet to try them out. They also come in two other flavours as well.

The next item in the goodie bag is a two-step Intensive Hair Treatment from the brand Skinlite. I actually swapped one of my items from the goodie bag for my friends one of these as well so now I have two of them. The item I swapped was a fake tan and I don’t fake tan! Totally an embracer of the porcelain skin. I haven’t tried the mask yet but keep an eye out on my Twitter feed to see how I get on with this.

One of the speakers who spoke at the event was Paul Mooney and he is the owner and creator of the brand Flawless so it only makes sense that an item from that brand would be in the goodie bag. We got the Shading Brush from the range and this is a nice densely packed brush that is great for precision work and packing eyeshadow on to the lid.

sam_2024sam_2026 I personally love the design that’s been printed on the handle of the brush. I also love that this brush is actually dual-fibred meaning it won’t overload your lids with product when applying an eyeshadow. It’s also nice that the bristles are white, so it means when the brush is washed you can tell when it’s fully clean or if it still has product residue on it.

Now I get to talk about some products from the actual Flormar range. I got two in the goodie bag and the first of them is the Flormar Colorliner in the shade 05 Feel By The Moon.

This is an amazing cobalt blue that dries to a nice matte finish on the eyes. The brush it comes with isn’t the most precise if I’m honest but the formulation is creamy enough that you can use a separate fine liner brush to get a nice sharp wing with it on the eyes.

The second and final product that we received in the goodie bag was the Flormar Extreme Color Lip Lacquer in the shade 08 Fortune-Teller. This is an amazing orangey-red shade that is super pigmented. It dries down to a matte finish much like the liner but it isn’t drying on the lips.

I personally love all the products that I got in my goodie bag and I look forward to try and testing out all these pressies. I also won a hamper on the day of a bunch of SoSueMe products so I will have a post about that coming up soon.
