Natural World Chia Seed Haircare

This year my hair has honestly been terrible, at it’s worst it’s ever been to be quite frank. I have been literally trying every single haircare product under the sun to try and get it to improve in both it’s texture and in it’s thickness. Some products have worked-and the ones that did I shall link below -but with regards to finding a great shampoo and conditioner I was struggling until I was lucky enough to receive a gorgeous package from the brand Natural World Hair.

SAM_4371

Inside the package I got two of their very extensive ranges however I’m only going to be reviewing the Chia Seed range for this post. The other range is the Argan range but that’s for another day.

SAM_4372

First off we have the Chia Seed Shampoo and this is one of those shampoos that you honestly don’t need alot of. I was genuinely surprised by this as it comes in a rather large bottle which I thought was a sign that it compensated for the amount you needed to use but no-this bottle will last quite a while. I have had it for roughly a month now and it’s only a quarter used which is amazing given how I wash my hair every other day.

The texture of the shampoo is really similar to gel cleansers and it weirdly doesn’t have alot of lather to it but at the same time your hair feels clean after using it. I found it to be so hydrating on both my hair and my scalp.

SAM_4373

The conditioner has a completely different texture than the shampoo. This feels exactly like a cream and I have to say on my long hair I do tend to use a larger amount of it in comparison to the shampoo. I found the conditioner so good for making my hair feel so silky soft especially when it’s dry. The ends are no longer brittle and even the split ends are less obvious in their appearance.

I have to say that I am completely in love with these products and will definitely be repurchasing once I’ve tried the other range and run out of both. Highly highly recommend these.

Wet Brush Pro-Flex Dry

You may have seen a few weeks ago that I posted a review on the 💧💦 Wet Brush 💦💧which has now become the only brush I use whenever my hair is wet and I want to brush it out. Recently the Wet Brush distributor here in Ireland got in touch with me asking if I would like to try out the latest brush called the Flex Dry from the Wet Brush Pro line-you can guess I said yes because I honestly stand by these brushes.

SAM_4317-

The Wet Brush Pro is both the same as the original Wet Brush and also completely different. By that I mean, it can be used to brush out wet hair just like the original one can but this also has the added benefit of being great for drying wet hair. This brush is super flexible and has these spacious groves between the bristles which allows the hot air of a hairdryer to pass through the brush while your drying your hair.

SAM_4318

The bristles are the same as the original in that they don’t damage the hair whatsoever while it’s wet. True to it’s name this brush is also super flexible and so it’s great to use on my poker straight hair as well as people who have more curly or coarse hair as it simply bends and works with the hair strand to brush it out.

SAM_4316

Now the real question-do you need both? I personally don’t think so. If you’re a Wet Brush virgin then definitely skip the original and just pick up the flex dry as it can be used when blow-drying your hair and as a regular hairbrush. If you already have the original then I do recommend adding this one to you collection. If pink isn’t your colour these brushes are available, much like the original, in a spectrum of colours and sometimes they even bring out limited edition ones.

💧💦 Wet Brush 💦💧

A few years ago if you were to ask anyone who knew anything about hair if it was okay to brush it while it’s wet they would have immediately glared at you before stating their answer with a simple no! Nowadays it’s a different story, now instead of shutting down the conversation most people will simply say get your hands on a Wet Brush. The Wet Brush is widely famous for having super soft flexible bristles that won’t damage the hair follicle like most brushes do when the hair is wet. It’s also perfect for detangling the hair as well.

SAM_4208

I personally have been using the Wet Brush for the past month and have found that my hair doesn’t fall out as much anymore because I don’t have to be as harsh on it with the Wet Brush as I do if I was using a regular hairbrush. Furthermore it just makes things a whole lot quicker when you get out of the shower because you don’t need to go through the faff of having to wait for it to dry before brushing it.

The brush itself, when you look at it, is nothing remarkable. It looks like any regular hairbrush but I will say that it has changed the way my hair is maintained. I know it has the words Wet Brush on it but you can use this on dry hair too and it works just as well. The one that I have been trying out the past month is their Naturals Wet Brush in Dark Wood.

SAM_4209

I have also been keeping one of their minis on my person wherever I go. It’s so handy for using when you’re in college or at a night out and need to fix any pesky flyaways that won’t lay flat. It also has a handy keyring so you can simply attach it to your keys. I have linked the Wet Brush website below because their brushes come in all shapes and sizes and retail for the most part under 20 euros, so they’re super affordable as well as great to use.

Let me know if you’ve ever used a Wet Brush and weather of not you found it any good or any different to a regular hairbrush.

Phyto Plage Recovery Spray

This is going to be a very quick post but I just wanted to pop on here and talk about my latest obsession when it comes to my haircare. Lately my hair has been feeling super dry in texture and so it’s been prone to getting tangled whilst I sleep, as a result I’ve been really wanting to try out a good leave-in detangling spray and I believe the Phyto Plage Recovery Spray is my saviour.

SAM_3610

This is meant to be used after the hair has been exposed to the sun as it repairs it and detangles it but I personally am only interested in it’s second purpose. The smell of this is incredible and not only that but three spritzes of this, evenly over the head causes my brush to glide so seamlessly through my hair. I’ve been using it in conjunction with my Phil Smith Be Gorgeous De-tangling Brush and the two of them have been a match made in heaven.

Phyto ‘Phytoelixir’ Hair Oil

Hair Care is something I really struggle with when it comes to writing reviews about it on my blog simply because I am never truly loyal to a single haircare brand long enough for me to see a significant difference in my hair. Recently however I won a massive hamper containing a bunch of Phyto Haircare products and since then I have been using them non-stop so expect to see a bunch of upcoming posts from me about their products.

SAM_3604

The product that I’m featuring for today’s post is the Phyto PhytoElixir which is basically their version of a hair oil. I absolutely love everything about this product, from the packaging to the actual oil itself. The packaging is gorgeous 75ml glass bottle that is see-through, meaning you can totally see when you’re going to run out. It has a pump dispenser which gives it even more brownie points as I’ve always found pipette droppers messy when it comes to oils.

SAM_3611

The oil itself is actually a nice texture as it’s got that dry feeling to it so it really doesn’t make your hair feel greasy at all. Once you rub it into the ends of your hair, it soaks almost instantly and completely hydrates any brittleness the hair may have. As an added bonus it also smells amazing and though it says use twice a week, I’ve been using it everyday in morning and my hair has been loving it.

Let me know what you use to take care of your hair and keep it in good condition 🙂 any excuse to try new products!

Phil Smith Be Gorgeous De-tangling Brush

I think the most hyped about de-tangling brush in the beauty community has got to be the Tangle Teezer and it holds that title rightly so as every few months they release limited edition designs printed onto their brushes. I own a Tangle Teezer and I did reach a point where I could not be without it. Many companies have tried (some better than others) to create a dupe version but none in my opinion have succeed until now. The success comes from the incredible haircare brand Phil Smith who I have featured before on my blog in my Phil Smith Be Gorgeous blog post.

SAM_3586

Phil Smith as a brand have brought out this de-tangling brush which can be used on both wet and dry hair. The brush itself has a typical brush shape in that you have your handle with the head that contains a soft cushion that holds the bristles. The bristles really are what make this brush unique. They are plastic and waved in shaped , the wave according to the Phil Smith brand are designed so that the brush glides through the hair gently and easily whilst removing any tangled hair at the same time.

I personally found this brush a dream to use. I typically have fine hair that does tend to fall straight anyway but when it’s damp, at the roots especially, it can become quite knotted together and this brush allows me to brush through that painlessly.

SAM_3587

The only annoying thing about this brush is that because of the bristles being in a waved shape, they are the  hardest thing ever to clean and remove any fallout that the hair has from them. But I personally love everything about this brush, the design of it, the bright rainbow colours and the way it glides through my hair painlessly regardless of whether its wet or dry.

This brush retails for on 5 pounds and is available from Sainburys in the UK and Northern of Ireland. It is also available via the Phil Smith website which I have linked below also.

Klorane Dry Shampoo

Sometimes I’m lazy! I know that’s a weird statement of fact to use to start of this blog but it’s true and I’m sure I’m not the only one. My laziness can result in me not doing the laundry, not bothering to cook and beauty wise, skimping on the washing of my hair. For days like those my hero product has got to be dry shampoo! I’m generally a creature of habit when it comes to dry shampoo and use brands I know, like Batiste and Aussie but recently I was sent a new dry shampoo by the brand Klorane and have been trying it out since I got it.

SAM_2933

Klorane have three different types of dry shampoo within their range. I was sent two, and the first of them is their original version. This is an amazing dry shampoo. It feels super light-weight when sprayed into the hair and it leaves absolutely no white powder or residue behind. I found that it refreshed my hair within minutes of me spraying it in.

I personally know when I’m going to be too lazy to wash my hair the next day, so I tend to spray dry shampoo into my hair right before I go to sleep so it can soak up the oils overnight. This worked even better with that technic though if you forget it still gives you fresh hair in the morning. I found it worked great on second day hair and third day hair but after that you really do need to stop being lazy! 😅 .

SAM_2934

The second version of their dry shampoo that Klorane sent me is their Natural Teint version. This dry shampoo has a peach/flesh coloured tint to it so that when it’s sprayed onto the roots it simply blends in with the scalp. I personally didn’t like this version nor did I get it, because they have a clear version why bother with a tinted one. Also the powder of the tint was really hard to get blended in with the scalp. It still worked the same in freshen up the hair as the clear version it just had a horrible powder to it.

Klorane also have a dry shampoo for those of us who have a super oily scalp and I will link it below, as well as linking where you can purchase these dry shampoos as I highly recommend them.
