Kiss Pro Lashes

Lashes for me tend to be reserved for special occasion wear and so when Kiss Makeup kindly sent these to me I found them to beautiful not to be reviewed here on my blog. I don’t wear lashes a lot so I gave these as a gift to my friend Ciara of Ciara Louise Beauty  who does wear lashes to review them for me. I guess you could call this a guest post here on my blog.

Ciara’s Review

Whether you are looking for natural flirty everyday lashes or voluminous night out lashes, KISS lashes are the answer.  KISS have a really great range of lashes and they seem to have lashes for every occasion!  I tried out two sets of lashes by KISS the Shy Lashes from their Look So Natural collection and the Posh Lashes from their True Volume collection.

I am someone who doesn’t usually wear lashes because I am always afraid that I am going to mess up putting them on or that they would just look horrible on me.  I can firmly say now that this is no longer the case.

The first pair I tried were the KISS True Volume Lashes in Posh these are full and beautiful, and I liked the way they looked.  For how much volume they gave me they were lightweight and as someone who wears contacts they didn’t irritate my eyes which is great!

The second set where the KISS Looks So Natural Lashes in Shy.  I had an instant love for these as soon as I put them on, they looked so natural, were super lightweight and were just gorgeous.  The fact that KISS lashes have tapered ends make they look so much more natural and like they could be your own lashes.  I have been converted to the lash life I have to say.

The Looks So Natural Lashes retail for €7.49, and the True Volume Lashes retail for €6.49.  Both can be bought in Boots.  In my opinion they are 100% worth the money and I will defiantly be stocking up on lashes next time I see them!

d.j.v Miaray Fiberwig Mascara

It’s very rare that something hits Holy grail status in my book, especially because I’m makeup crazy and buy so many products to use personally and to test out for my blog. Recently I was sent a new mascara by the brand d.j.v Miaray which is known as Japan’s best selling mascara brand.

This mascara uses eyelash film technology, which what I’ve understood from the brand representative cause the lash and fibers in the mascara to coat together to create a “false lash” finish to the eyes. For me this is one of the best mascara’s I’ve used since discovering the Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme mascara.

The mascara itself comes in tis really gorgeous sleek, red acrylic tube that has the name of the brand and the name of the mascara, Fiberwig, written across in gold lettering. The tube is hexagonal in shape which strangely gives you a better grip to the wand handle for applying the actual mascara.

Speaking of the wand, it’s just the perfect length in my opinion to not stab your eye when applying the mascara. The brush itself has this nice curve in the centre dip which allows the natural bristles of the brush to hug the lashes against the shape of the eye.

If you look closely on the brush you will notice the tiny little hairs the are the fibers in the mascara. The mascara is what it known as a tubing mascara, meaning it can only be removed using luke, warm water and so it would be perfect for eyes that are oily or are prone to smudges.

For those of you that have sensitive eyes and are worried that the fibers might fall down into your eyes, don’t worry they don’t. I personally am prone to sensitivity when it comes to certain mascaras and I found no problems with this one. It gives you amazing jet black lashes that are long, thick and fully volumized.
