Bioderma Hydrabio Masque

It’s no secret on this blog that I am a huge fan of Bioderma as a brand especially when it comes to their Hydrabio range. I have reviewed both the exfoliating face wash and the moisturiser from that range in my Bioderma Launches HYDRABIO Range. I featured more of their newer additions for 2017 in an overview post Bioderma New Additions and today I have another new release from them that has been added to their ever growing and ever popular Hydrabio line, the Hydrabio Masque.

This mask is really aimed towards people who have really dehydrated skin and lack moisture. Automatically you would think dry skin right? But actually even people with oily skin can lack moisture and not actually realise it. This is why I think this mask can really be used by any skin type. The mask itself comes in a squeezy plastic tube which I love as it reduces the chances of bacteria getting into it. Though the packaging is plastic, Bioderma definitely retained that high end feel to it by using their iconic blue colour scheme to design it.

To use this mask, it states it must be used every single day for the first week and then once or twice a week afterwards. I’ll be honest I use this mask every second day because of how convenient it is. This is a no rinse mask, meaning that once the allocated time that you set for your “mask time” is finished you don’t have to get up and wash it off. Instead you can simply swipe the excess off with a dry flannel or cotton pad depending on preference. Because of that I love using this mask as an overnight mask, I leave sink in and it basically hydrates my skin, fresh and plump for the next day.

The texture of this mask when it’s applied is super thin so you don’t even realise you have it on. It does make the skin go shiny as it’s drying down but most clear masks do that anyway. This mask does go on clear even though it comes out a white cream from the tube. I also like how it has a slight cooling effect on the skin that causes it to tighten as it dries.

I’ve been using this mask for over a month now and have had no problems with it whatsoever. It doesn’t cause any breakouts, it made my skin super plump and soft to touch and even my dark circles (inherited-so I can never really get rid of them) have slightly reduced as they’ve become more hydrated. This mask can also be used on sensitive skin and retails for only 13 euros. Such a bargain!
