In the beauty industry these days there really isn’t that many makeup brands that are considered natural and beneficial to the skin. By natural I mean they mostly use ingredients that are oils and extracts taken from plants and fruits. Most makeup brands try to be natural but because the days of using lead in makeup are gone it’s easy to create safe makeup products without having to be natural….it’s also cheaper and more profitable as a business if they don’t.
Me personally I’m ok with using those non-natural makeup brands but if I’m honest my skin does show the effects with their use on a daily basis. Today I have a review from Jane Iredale which is a brand that prides itself on being natural and hypoallergic. They combine their makeup products with health benefits to improve the skin. For example todays product which is the Jane Iredale PureMoist Lipstick uses moringa oil and orange peel wax to ensure that the lipstick hydrates and conditions the lips whilst also providing amazing pigmentation on the lips.
The lipstick itself comes in some stunning packaging which has the words high-end and premium written across it. The packaging is a rose gold cylinder and the lid has the iconic Jane Iredale calligraphic J embossed on it. When you pop of the lid you obviously get the lipstick and a very nice touch which I liked are the words Jane Iredale written across the neck piece of the lip tube.
The shade that I got is called Rikki and this is very much your lips but better shade. It’s a nice soft mauve shade that can falter any makeup look and the pigmentation of these lipstick is spot on. Highly pigmented and they set to a nice glossy finish that makes the lips looks so hydrated. Formula is nice and creamy even if the lips are dried out and chapped, it doesn’t cling to any dry patches at all.
Definitely looking to pick up more shades of this lipstick for sure. They retail for 25 pounds/28 euros and are available on the Jane Iredale website which I’ve linked below for you guys! Let me know if you’ve tried any makeup for natural makeup brands.
