It seems that every brand under the sun are bring out some version of a liquid highlighter and me being me, I am collecting them all! haha :P. In August I went to Doncaster, UK to attend a wedding and a trip to Superdrug was a must for Irish gal like me who has never been to one. There I discovered Models Own and their gorgeous Sculpt & Glow liquid highlighters. Now these aren’t available in Ireland so for brands that are, check out Sleek Makeup Barekissed Illuminators and L’oreal True Match Liquid Highlighters for reviews that are available in Ireland.
I picked up two shades out of the three. The first shade that I got is 02 Rose Gold and this is the lighter out of the two. These retailed for roughly 6.99 pounds so that would convert to roughly 9.99 euros each. They had an offer on the range where you can purchase 2 products from Models Own for 10 pounds (roughly 12 euros) so I took full advantage of the offer.
The shade Rose Gold is very gold toned and I love how creamy the formulation of these are. I have found that you can even apply these over powder without the powder caking underneath unlike the L’oreal True Match Highlighters which do cake when applied over powder.
The product comes in very practical packaging, plastic clear tube with a plastic white pump dispenser. The second that I shade that I picked up is 03 Luster which is more of a darker shade compared to Rose Gold.
This shade has more of a bronze undertone and is slightly more metallic in it’s sheen compared to Rose Gold.
I honestly wish I had picked up more from the Models Own range because I honestly enjoyed using these products. I also picked up the Revolution Highlighting Trio palette in my Superdrug shopping trip so I will be doing a review on it soon! So stay tuned 🙂
