Project Lip Oil: Catrice

This the second instalment in my Lip Oil project, this is a project that focuses on the different lip oils that are being released from the different brands. The first of the lip oils that were released was from Clarins last year and since then I’ve been on the hunt to find less expensive alternatives and so this project was born. I reviewed the Clarins Instant Light Comfort Lip Oils already if you guys want to go over and have a read of that but in this post I’m moving on to one of the less expensive version that have been released from Catrice Cosmetics.

“Intensively caring lipgloss enriched with a oil complex of argan, jojoba and camellia for a radiant glow.”

Catrice much like Clarins have also released 3 shades within their lip oil range. The range itself is called Luxury Lips and it is a Intensive Care Gloss that really moisturises the lips. I will say that this oil doesn’t last as long on the lips as the Clarins one does but personally I find this one is much lighter than the Clarins making it easier to apply during the day. The shade that I picked up from the range is called 020 Rosachella Festival and this is a soft pink shade.

Packaging is pretty basic, nothing fancy or special about it. The applicator is a nice sponge doe-foot applicator that is small and precise. I like that it has a slight tip to it which makes it easier for getting in the inner corners of the lips. Pigmentation isn’t that intense, remember it is an oil meaning it’s very sheer colour wise. When I really want colour payoff I like to apply this over lipstick that has a balmy texture in order for me to get the hydration from both products. Currently my favourite for this is the Rimmel London Moisture renew sheer & shine lipstick in 200 Glow-rious Pink.

The other two shades in the Catrice Luxury Lips range are a soft yellow and a ruby red. The soft yellow is called 010 Spending all My Honey and the ruby red is called 030 Revolution-Berry Lips. You get 30mls of product in a tube and each tube retails for 4.49 euros. I picked mine up from Primark/Pennys when I was shopping.
