Sleek Collection

When I reviewed the Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette I mentioned that I owned a rather extensive collection of Sleek products. I decided instead of doing a separate review of each individual product I would mesh them all into this one post. I love Sleek in general, I will say they are like all brands in that they have some miss products but overall their products are amazing. I’m gonna start with the palettes first. I own 14 palettes from the brand and love every single one of them.

All Sleek palettes have 12 highly pigmented eyeshadows that are buttery soft, super creamy and easily blendable when applied. Upon application they have little to no fallout. Each permanent palette from the brand retail for 9.99 euros and the Limited Edition palettes  retail for 12.99 euros. Because I have so many I couldn’t really practically swatch them all, this post would be too long. If anyone wants however a closer look at a specific palette then just leave a comment and I will do a swatch post for that palette request.

And that’s all the palettes that I own! I know its a lot but I genuinely love the pigmentation and the formulation of them. The packaging is also really good and true to the name of the brand nice and sleek. Every single palette comes with a mirror which is even more reason to love them. Great for travel.

SAM_0759.JPGThis next palette is the only blush palette that I own from the brand. I bought it when I picked up the Candy Collection i-Candy palette. This blush trio is called the Candy Collection Sweet Cheeks palette. It contains  3 individual blushes, one of them is a cream and the other two powder. I will say that is one thing I don’t like about this palette is the fact that they’ve put a cream in with powder. when your using it sometimes powder fallout can get into the cream and that is just a disaster waiting to happen.

The first shade is called Candy Floss and this is the cream formulation. It amazingly creamy and smooth. I will say be-careful when applying as a little can go a long way especially because it’s cream.

The second shade looks a bit scary in the pan but it’s actually my favourite out of the three. This shade is called Dolly Mix and its great for us pale skinned girls because it gives such an amazing glow to the skin that actual looks natural even though the blush looks super scary.

The last shade in the trio is called Cupcake and I use this one the least because it is a bit intense on the skin. It also makes me looks overly perky when I apply this and have little to no makeup on which is 75% of the time-I’m a no makeup makeup type of a girl! This trio I think retailed for roughly 8.49 euros though it may have gone up in price because of brand popularity.

I own two of the Molten Metal eyeshadow duos. These are basically Sleek version of cream eyeshadows. The first shade that I have is 714  and this contains two gold toned cream eyeshadows. The first is more  of an antique gold and applies rather dark on the eye lids. I personally love using these as liquid eyeliner because you generally can’t get eyeliner in these types of colours. This shade is called Pewter

The second shade Gold Leaf is more of a true gold in colour. This one when applied has more of a metallic finish compared to the first shade Pewter

The other duo is the complete opposite of this in that it contains two cream eyeshadows in a silver tone rather than gold. This one is called 715 and I will say that is way more pigmented than 714.

The first shade on the left is called Steel and is your true intense silver colour when applied. If you combine the two shades when doing a winged liner with these you can actually achieve the ombre effect with them

The shade on the right is called Ash and this is basically a gun metal silver. I has some really nice blacken pigmentation to it that makes it a great base of smoky eye looks.

Speaking of smoky eye looks you can’t really achieve that without a gel liner and Sleek has a great one. This is the Sleek Ink Pot in the shade Dominatrix 498. I like this gel liner because it comes in a frosted effected glass jar that has a lid with a pressure insert which means this gel liner literally never dries out (unless you forget to close it…like me 😦 , but I bought a new one , this one! haha)

This liner is highly pigmented, it doesn’t give off any grey, it really is jet black in it’s intensity.  I like to apply my gel liner with an angled liner brush but that’s just personally what I like to use.

Enough with the eyes, I think it’s time to move on to some lip products. Remember those miss products I said Sleek had while they’re generally found in their lip products. Now that’s not to say they’re all bad but I do have some hate its coming up. Let’s kck things off with one shall we. This is the Sleek Makeup Pout Polish Tinted Lip Conditioner (it needs  a shorter name people!) in the shade Bare Minimum 963 . I hate this product, it claims to hydrate, condition and restore your lips whilst given a soft tint. all it does for me is dyhydrate them and make them cracked. Also it has no pigmentation whatsoever! Don’t like this at all-thumbs down from me.

Sticky with the hate its theme, I hate this next lip product also. This is the Sleek True Colour Lipstick but it has a sheeny formulation. I like these lipsticks but only in the Matte formulation. The sheen formulation is too oily, slippy and sticky on the lips for my liking.

Also the shade that I picked up, Baby Doll 771, I expected it to be more of a soft pink and because it’s a sheen I expected to be more of a sheer effect on the lips. That is not the case. These are thick and fairly annoying on the lips because you can actually feel them on the lips.

The matte formulation is the complete opposite however of the sheen. These you can’t feel, once their applied that’s it you can forget about them. Because their a matte formulation they are very long lasting, don’t smear and last for 6 hours roughly with food. I own two shades from the range. The first is called 794 Plush and this is more of a dark cranberry red/pink toned lippy. Great for when you want a statement lip but don’t want to wear red.

The second shade is 780 Pink Freeze and this is very much on the pink toned sided of things. I very much don’t like pink lipstick, but I would wear this if it was over a dark lip liner just to darken the shade ever so slightly.

The final lip products that I own from Sleek are the Sleek Matte Me Ultra Smooth Matte lip Creams. I own two shades from the range and to be honest I tend to buy two shades of most lip products because sometimes the colour can make a difference.

The first shade that I own is called 432 Brink Pink and this is a very bright pink that I would actually wear ironically. I thing it’s because it’s so bright that I can actually wear it as a bold lip which is why I like it. The applicator for these is the traditional doe-foot applicator and the wand is nice and long which makes applying them all the more fun.

The second shade is more on the red side of things and this one is called 434 Party Pink. Even though pink is in the name I feel like it’s more red in colour, I don’t know you might disagree. Either way these liquid lipsticks have a great formulation however they can get a bit flaky if you reapply during the day. I recommend you have a  mirror on hand, wipe what you have remaining on your lips and apply a fresh coat if you’re looking to rreapply after food or drinks or just to freshen up.

I think that’s enough talk about Sleek products! This is a very long post so I’m going to review these next two products in a separate post because one of them was actual something I used on my wedding day when I did my makeup so I genuinely love these products. These are the Sleek Bare-kissed Illuminators.

Like I said I already did a post on the Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette so if you wanna go check that out you can, that is still in my collection and I use it almost every single day for highlighting my cheekbones.

That’s it guys! That’s my entire Sleek makeup collection. Like I said if you want any swatch posts of any of the palettes just let me know which one you’d like me to swatch in the comments and I shall. Stay tuned for the Sleek Barekissed Illuminators post coming soon 🙂
