I didn’t have any March Favourites and that’s because it’s very rare for me to like products to the point that I use the same thing over and over. I do like to switch up my products every few days or so just so I can get the most out of my makeup. This month however I have been doing a lot makeup research and going to Masterclasses for new releases so I do have a few products that I have been loving over others.
The first product is one that I have stuck too for months and that is simple because I like the texture of it. This is the L’oreal Infallible Mattifying Base and it’s basically a primer. Its very gel like and cooling when applied to the skin and I love that aspect of it. It doesn’t feel overly silicone even though it is a silicone based primer. I like that I can feel like my skin is breathing.
The product itself comes in a tube and has a black thin nozzle dispenser. Its clear in colour and you get 35 mls of product in each tube.
The next product that I like is the Naked Skin One & Done. This is a mixture between a tinted moisturiser and a foundation. It gives the sheer application of a tinted moisturiser but it gives you way more coverage than a tinted moisturiser. I have written a more detailed review in my Urban Decay Masterclass Purchases post if any of you are interested in checking that out.
Colour correcting is something that has just started trending in the makeup world this year even though it’s been around for years. I, myself have been using colour correcting as a makeup technique ever since I got into makeup. My Holy Grail product for correcting shallowness and dark under eye bags is the Estee Lauder Ideal Light Brush On Illuminator in the shade 09 Barely Mauve . Yes it is a purple concealer and no it does not stay purple on the face. I use it under my foundation as over it, it’s just too bright and obvious looking.
I’ve never reviewed this product on my blog even though I love it because you can’t actually purchase this. I got mine as a free gift with purchase from Revlon over the Easter Holidays last month and have been hooked on it ever since. You ever looking for the perfect eyeshadow to go with your no makeup makeup look than you’ve found them in these four beautifully sheer but highly pigmented cream shadows. They don’t crease, they don’t budge, they don’t smear. Love love love!! Try ebay maybe…..?
One of my bucket list products has always been the Hourglass Ambient Lighting blushes but alas I live in Ireland were Hourglass does not exist and hence I cannot buy them. Instead I picked up these incredible dupes from Maxfactor called the Crème Puff Blushes. I own three but this is my favourite for the last 2 months. Its in the shade 10 Nude Mauve.
Last favourite of the month is another Revlon product however you can actually buy this one. This is the Revlon Photoready Concealer in the shade 002 Light. It is a stick concealer that is very high coverage and has a waxy texture to it perfect for covering any blemishes. For those of you with oily skin I do recommend that you powder this down after applying it as it will move on you.
That’s everything that I have been loving for the month of April. Let me know what you’ve been loving and why just so I can have an excuse to buy it lolz 😛
