So my last post entailed my experience at the Urban Decay Masterclass and how I totally enjoyed myself and everything that happened at the event. I also mentioned that I picked up two products from the collection and one that was just a naughty purchase so I’m going to review them here in this post.
First product is the Naked Skin One and Done and this according to the makeup artist at the event is in between a tinted moisturiser and a foundation and hence they called it a hybrid complexion perfector. This product does contain SPF 20 however I found that it didn’t have any flashback when I photographed the model.
For the packaging I love that they have put it into a tube rather than a glass bottle. The tube itself has this ombre colouring from light beige to black. It does have a pump dispenser and the tube contains 40mls of product whereas foundations normally only have 30mls. Price wise it was a bit expensive at 32 euros.
For my skin I went with the lightest shade in the collection and it was also the same shade that was used on the model. Texture wise I found this product to be quite thick when dispensed but when buffed into the skin it does go on light and weightless. With regards to coverage it doesn’t give that much coverage but it does blur any imperfections on the skin though I still think you’d need to use a concealer with it too. For those of you that have oily skin this doesn’t contain any oil in it but it does apply dewy so I do recommend a powder.
The next product I picked up is the Afterglow highlighter in Aura for 28 euros. Not cheap but I felt that for once I found a highlighter shade that was suitable for my skin tone with me being so fair. Again this is also the same shade that makeup artist used on the model. The powder comes in this beautiful ombre pink box and the packaging itself is this strudy metallic casing.
There’s no mirror with this product which makes it lose a few points in my book especially because it is 28 euros. The powder is this gorgeous light iridescent pink shade that is so soft and silky. It applies even silkier, there are no glitter particles in this highlighter, just a soft shimmer effect.
Last but not least the makeup artist used this eyeliner on the model within the summer campaign look. It’s one of the 24/7 Glide-on eye pencils in the shade Deep End and I personally instantly feel in love with it even though it’s not part of the summer 2016 collection. It retails for 18 euros as does every Urban Decay eye pencil.
Right that’s everything that I purchased at the Masterclass event. They did hand out a goodie-bag but I will show you what I got in a later post. Also the look that the makeup artist did, I will go through it in detail soon!
